The series is based on the mythical account of Shakuntala, a captivating beauty born to an 'Apasara'. A strong and independent woman who overcomes many challenges in her life. Her stories of love, loss, and redemption are an enduring part of Indian culture.
My images here depict a fictitious tale that takes place post Shakuntala's reunion with her husband Dushyant as she is preparing to leave the ashram for her husband's Palace.
